Gold Hill Winery is a small-lot, family‑owned estate in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, with roots that stretch back over 8,000 years to the Indus Valley – a farming legacy carried forward by brothers Sant and Gurbachan Gill. Established in 2009 on a historic 24‑acre parcel atop the renowned Golden Mile fruit bench, Gold Hill has grown into a thriving 125‑acre estate, with vineyards reaching from Osoyoos to West Kelowna.

At Gold Hill, everything starts in the vineyard. Deeply grounded in generational knowledge, the Gill family brings hands‑on vineyard management to every block, selecting ENTAV clones of traditional Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc – planted on ideal east‑facing, bench‑land soils that benefit from excellent drainage, airflow, and intense sun exposure.

The winery’s portfolio showcases 100% estate‑grown, small‑lot wines that reflect the unique micro‑terroir of the South Okanagan. Highlights include their flagship Cabernet Franc – winner of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in BC Wines with the first vintage in 2009 – and a range of four bold reds, an elegant rosé, a crisp white, and a luxurious Family Reserve or “Grand Vin” selection.

Today, Gold Hill is an intergenerational endeavour. Sant and Gurbachan continue to guide the estate alongside their sons, while winemaker and GM Val Tait crafts each vintage with precision, drawing on Gold Hill’s unwavering vision for expressive, terroir‑driven wines.
